Hi there. If you set the full blog post option on Theme Options > general settings and then use read more tags for all the others that will work. Alternatively untick the same option and it will auto excerpt all posts apart from ones with read more in. Add read more to the very end of the first blog post. If you need anything else please use our support form at http://www.meanthemes.com/support

I'm considering this theme and Nerdy. I'm leaning toward this one but I say on your blog that you have retired your first theme. Given how long this theme has been around I'm concerned that it may soon meet the same fate.

Hi Texas, we're not retiring any of our other themes. In fact we've started the process of overhauling some of the codebase in Moustachey to bring it up to the same standards as Nerdy and Fixy and our newer themes. We'll update the blog post to let people know we're not retiring any more :)

Two more questions for you: I'm currently using the Epik theme for Genesis, it has some nice buttons and I have the code added to a lot of my posts. I've managed to add these buttons to other Genesis child themes by copying the CSS code across - could I do this with your theme? My next question, is there much I can do with featured images, they're a different size on my current theme but I hope I don't have to recreate them all, they are 734x298. Is there any way these could work with this theme? Thanks!

  • meanthemes

    2014-07-30 05:53:51
    Purchased Reply

Hi again, Moustachey is child theme compatible and has a custom css block built into the theme options too. If they are physically 734 width then you are going to be about 200px shy of the 940px on Moustachey. You could use some CSS to stretch them though if needed.

Hi 1.3.3 is the latest version. If you were notified recently about an update it was just for the preview image on themeforest changing and we didn't tick the "notify buyers" button so that must be an error on themeforest's part if they have informed you of an update.

Hi! I am loving this clean, well-coded theme; thanks for that. I have a quick question & I went to your support site to open a ticket but I'm getting an internal server error message. Basically I just want to disable the images' alt text from showing up on hover. (I don't really care if CSS or Javascript is used.) Do you think you could point me in the right direction? Thanks!

Hi there thanks for purchasing. Alt text is needed for people using a text browser, alt text is also a requirement of html dictated by w3c. You can obviously just delete the alt text, again I wouldn't advise this or you can disable via JavaScript. You will need to research and implement this yourself as our support is only for bug fixes. Thanks again for purchasing :)

Hi Baerlee, Moustachey comes without support as stated on the purchase panel and in these comments at the top, this is also why it is priced so low. The above can be achieved with some CSS for anyone with basic CSS knowledge it should be relatively straight forward to figure out.

Wow, seriously one of the best looking blogs ive seen. 3 questions before buying it: 1) Can I add WooCommerce plugin? I know most of the blogs handle this but just to be sure. 2) Can I make posts sticky to the top of the main page? 3) Can I add a filter at the top or in the sidebar? Hope to hear from you so I can purchase your theme. Mike

A category list as per the default WordPress widgets is fine. In theory WooCommerce should work, its designed to work by the people who made it, but as I said we haven't tested it so cannot guarantee 100% compatibility.
