Hi Ray, The prettyphoto plugin included with the theme supports self-hosted quicktime videos as well as many flash videos too. You simply need to add your video to your wordpress media library and paste the link in the "video link" box. :) Let me know if you run into any issues, Andre

That's what I thought. I tried it with a .MP4 video and a .FLV video. When I click on the Portfolio Item all it says is "Image cannot be loaded. Make sure the path is correct and image exists."

For flv and .mp4 files, you'll need to install a player to get them working, like http://flowplayer.org/ since flv/mp4 won't play out of the box. Quicktime, however works right away with prettyphoto without any alterations to the theme. Let me know if you need further clarification, Andre

Sure Samuel- That's just a css change. You'll in the custom css box of site options:

.sf-menu ul {
width: 175px;
}

You may have to tinker with second level dropdown positioning too. But that should give you an idea. Cheers, Andre

Another question: Is there an xml import for for the demo content? Or perhaps a sql dump? It's easier to see how it all works when we have existing content to modify (at least for me) and most of the developers here provide their content to buyers. Curious if you do the same.

Hi Apokalupsis, This theme wasn't designed with buddypress in mind - I'm not sure if it would work with the theme. You may have to do some heavy modifications to get it to work with Ellipsis. Sorry I could be of more help. Andre

Hi, Could you please advise how I can add the "Read More" button on the Custom news Widget on the home page? I'm using the widget to display the latest post. I want to shorten the post that's displayed, with the "Read More" following that, but it displays the entire post when I use the widget. I could not find this in the How to documentation. Thanks!

Hi WC, Do you have a "more" tag within your post? The post should automatically shorten the post for you wherever the "more" tag is inserted. It's the button in the WYSIWYG editor on the top near the middle end. Andre

Hi Mvalls, I'm glad you got the language sorted out. Unfortunately, I can't troubleshoot the lightbox problem without looking at the code. I would check to make sure that you're calling prettyphoto.js, and also calling it properly in the custom.js.php file. Whatever changes you made to the theme files have resulted in this bug. If I can take a look at a live version, I'd love to help you solve it. Andre

Hi 2winFactor - Great theme. I'm definitely interested in buying it, but just came across a strange little bug. If I have more than 1 browser window open and I open one of the Ellipsis pages, for example http://designcirc.us/ellipsiswp/?page_id=63, the Ellipsis page opens for a second, but then one of my other windows comes to the front and opens up. I then have to open back up the window that has Ellipsis. I've tried from 2 different computers with multiple browsers (firefox, safari, and ie). Can you let me know if you're having the same issue and if so, when it will be fixed? Thank you!

Hmmm, that's strange. I'm having difficulties re-creating it on my end. It could be an issue with the iframe at the top of the live preview. Did you try closing out of the iframe? It could also have something to do with the php cookies for previewing different skins in the drawer pullout. Do you have cookies enabled in your browser? If so, try clearing them. Which other browser window opens up? Is it another ellipsis page? Which one? I appreciate you letting me know. My guess is that this bug is isolated to the live preview, and doesn't affect the download since I haven't heard anything from any customers. Thanks, Andre

Hi, I observe the same, because I wanted to show you what i was talking about using your demo, but apparently the server was down . hummm , i uploaded a picture of the issue here , take a look . http://www.syncservers.net/ellipsis/topmenu_drop_down_issue1.jpg try to read the text the arrow red line from the red circle points to in the picture .
